Terms of service
The agreement between your organization and Strata: what you can expect from the service, and what we expect in return.
- Effective 1 July 2026
- Supersedes all prior versions
Agreement
These terms govern access to and use of the Strata platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and any organization you represent.
Accounts and access
You are responsible for the accuracy of account information and for all activity under credentials issued to your organization.
Organization administrators control who may access their data and at what permission level. Strata does not grant access to an organization's documents except as instructed or where required to provide support.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service to store unlawful content, attempt to circumvent access controls, probe the platform without written authorization, or interfere with other customers' use.
Automated access must respect published rate limits.
Customer data
Your organization retains all rights to the documents, metadata and submissions it stores. We claim no ownership over them.
We process customer data only to deliver and secure the service, in line with the data processing agreement.
Availability
We target 99.9% monthly availability on all plans and 99.99% under an Enterprise service level agreement, measured excluding announced maintenance.
Planned maintenance is announced at least 72 hours in advance where practicable.
Fees and renewal
Subscriptions are billed in advance per user, monthly or annually, and renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current term.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in an order form.
Termination and export
Either party may terminate for material breach that remains uncured 30 days after written notice.
On termination you may export your documents and audit trail for 30 days, after which data is deleted in line with our retention schedule.
Liability
Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
